M+ Global Login Guide: Log In, Reset Password, Fix Issues

M+ Global Login Guide: Log In, Reset Password, Fix Issues

Quick Answer: Open the M+ Global (Mplus) app or the desktop version, enter your user ID and password, then confirm the one-time code sent to you. If you forget your password, use the reset option in the app, and if the account is locked or the reset fails, contact M+ customer service instead of trying again and again.

This guide is for Malaysian retail investors who have just been approved for an M+ account, or who are returning and cannot get in. M+ (also written Mplus) is Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd, the broker I work with as a remisier. M+ Global (Mplus) is the platform you log in to today.

The older M+ Online app was scheduled to end on 31 October 2025 and stopped working on 19 December 2025. Do not download or use it, and do not follow any guide that tells you to.

What You Need Before You Log In

Investor logging in to M+ Global (Mplus) on a phone and laptop
Log in through the official M+ Global app or desktop version only.

Have three things ready: your user ID, your password, and the phone number registered with your account. Your mobile phone should be with you, because the one-time code is sent there.

Your user ID is not the same as your CDS account number. An individual opens one CDS account with each broker, and M+ CDS numbers are 15 digits starting with 012-001. Do not type the CDS number into the user ID field.

Logging In on the Phone App

Follow these steps on your phone:

1. Go to the official app store on your phone and search for M+ Global. Check that the publisher is Malacca Securities before you install.

2. Open the app and select the login option on the opening screen.

3. Enter your user ID and password exactly as you set them. Passwords are case-sensitive, and this is the most common reason for a failed first attempt.

4. Enter the one-time code sent to your registered phone number. Type it within the time shown on screen, because an old code will be rejected.

5. Once in, check that your name and account details look correct before you place any order.

Logging In on the Desktop Version

The desktop version works the same way, but you start from a computer browser or desktop program. Look for the M+ Global option on the official M+ website and avoid search ads, because fake pages often sit at the top of results.

1. Open the official M+ Global desktop login page.

2. Enter your user ID and password.

3. Enter the one-time code sent to your phone. If you do not receive it, wait a short while before requesting another, since repeated requests can slow things down.

4. If the page looks slightly different from the app, or asks for your password on a page you did not expect, stop and check the web address with M+ before you continue.

First Login After Approval: Password and Device Verification

After your account is approved, you will set your own password on first login. Choose a password you have not used for other services, and write it down somewhere safe.

1. Use the login details M+ gave you for the first time, following the instructions in the app or the approval communication.

2. Set your new password when prompted. Most people trip up here by reusing a short, easy password from another account.

3. Complete device verification. You will receive a one-time code on your registered phone, and you will need to enter it to confirm this device.

4. If you want to use a second device later, you will need to verify it again the same way.

Do not share the verification code with anyone, including someone claiming to be from M+. A genuine M+ staff member will never ask for it.

Forgot Password or User ID

Most people can recover access without phoning anyone. Start with the reset route in the app.

1. On the login screen, select the forgot password option in the app.

2. Follow the prompts to verify your identity, usually through the phone number registered on your account.

3. Set a new password and log in again with the one-time code.

If you have also forgotten your user ID, the reset route in the app may not be enough. In that case, contact M+ customer service directly and be ready to confirm your identity. Check the current contact details on the official M+ website, and do not rely on numbers posted in social media groups.

Common Login Problems and What Fixes Each

Most login problems come down to one of a handful of causes. The table below covers the ones I see most often.

Problem Likely cause What to do
Account locked Too many wrong password attempts Stop trying. Use the reset route, or contact M+ customer service if it is still locked.
New phone, no code The code goes to the old registered number Contact M+ customer service to update your registered phone number before you can verify the new device.
App errors or blank screen App not updated Update M+ Global from the official app store, then restart your phone and log in again.
Wrong user ID Confusing it with the CDS number Check the details M+ sent when your account was approved.
Code expired Code entered too late Request a new code and enter it promptly.

If none of these fits, take a screenshot of the error and call or message me, or contact M+ customer service, rather than guessing.

Keeping Your Account Safe

Your password and one-time code are the keys to your shares and your cash. Treat them that way.

Never share your password or OTP with anyone. This includes people who say they are from M+, from Bursa, or from a remisier’s office.

Watch for fake M+ login pages. If a link arrives by SMS, WhatsApp or email and asks you to log in, do not click it. Type the official address yourself or open the app.

Avoid scam apps. Download M+ Global only from the official app store, and be cautious of apps with similar names. Bursa Anywhere is a separate Bursa app, and it is not where you log in to M+.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

The most common mistake is trying the wrong password several times in a row, which locks the account. Stop after one or two attempts and use the reset route.

Another is using the old M+ Online app or an old link from a previous year. Those routes no longer work.

Finally, many clients forward their one-time code to a friend who is trying to help. Never do this, even with people you trust.

Key Takeaways

  • M+ (Mplus) is Malacca Securities, and M+ Global (Mplus) is the platform you log in to today.
  • Use the official M+ Global phone app or desktop version only. The M+ Online app stopped working on 19 December 2025.
  • Your user ID is not your CDS account number, so check which one the field asks for.
  • Use the in-app reset route for a forgotten password, and contact M+ customer service for locked accounts or a changed phone number.
  • Never share your password or OTP, and never log in through links sent to you by message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I log in to M+ Global on my phone and PC at the same time?

Yes, you can use the phone app and the desktop version, but each new device needs verification with a one-time code. Keep your registered phone with you when you log in on a computer.

How long does it take to reset my M+ password?

If the in-app reset works, you can usually finish it in one sitting using the code sent to your phone. If your account is locked or your phone number needs updating, contact M+ customer service, as that takes longer.

What documents do I need to recover my M+ account?

You will need access to your registered phone number and your identity details matching the account. If you are changing a phone number, M+ may ask for documents to confirm who you are, so check the current requirements on the official M+ website.

What happens if I enter the wrong password too many times?

The account may be locked for security. Stop trying, use the reset route in the app, and contact M+ customer service if you still cannot get in.
