This blog is run by Dexter Chia (Chia Pern Lee), a licensed Dealer’s Representative (DR code R336) at Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd (M+ Global). This page explains who writes our articles, how they are produced and checked, and how to report a mistake.
Who writes the articles
- Dexter Chia writes and is responsible for the guides on accounts, remisier services, IPOs and M+ Global. You can verify his licence on the Securities Commission Malaysia’s public register of licensed persons at sc.com.my.
- Wendy Y., content editor, prepares market news, IPO coverage and research summaries, working with Dexter Chia.
Where our information comes from
- Company announcements and prospectuses published on Bursa Malaysia
- Research reports published by Malacca Securities (M+ Online / M+ Global)
- Established Malaysian and international news outlets, credited at the end of each article
- Official broker and regulator websites for fees, rules and procedures
Every news and research article links to or names its original source.
How articles are produced
We use AI tools to help draft, summarise and translate articles, including our Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia versions. Before publishing, articles go through automated checks that:
- compare figures such as prices, percentages and amounts against the original source;
- screen for buy, sell or hold recommendations, which we do not publish; and
- check structure and readability.
Articles that fail a check are held back for human review instead of being published. Guides about accounts, fees and procedures are reviewed before they go live and are updated when rules or fees change.
What we do not do
- We do not give personalised investment advice or buy/sell recommendations in articles.
- We do not accept payment from listed companies to write about them.
- We do not present forecasts or target prices as our own; any target price quoted is attributed to the research house that published it.
Our commercial relationship
Dexter Chia is a remisier with Malacca Securities and earns a share of brokerage from clients who trade through him. Articles that mention M+ Global, invitation code UBZQ or his remisier services reflect that relationship. Broker comparisons state this disclosure and use fees taken from each broker’s official website.
