What Does MyDCD Do?

MyDCD is an engineering services company that integrates MEPF systems for critical infrastructure, mainly data centres. Its work covers the systems that keep a data centre running: power distribution, cooling, plumbing and fire protection, from design and installation through testing and commissioning. It also earns maintenance income, which typically starts one to two years after a project is completed.

Its operations are concentrated in the Klang Valley, where it serves enterprise and colocation data centres. Chief executive officer Chris Ow Yong told reporters the company has worked in data centres for about 15 years. He said the adoption of artificial intelligence has raised the demands on data-centre power and cooling systems, which makes this specialised work more important. The company plans to look at other parts of Malaysia after listing and has no immediate plan to expand overseas.

The listing follows the underwriting agreement MyDCD signed with TA Securities earlier in October, which we covered in MyDCD签TA Securities包销协议(中文).

How Will MyDCD Use the RM187.6 Million Raised?

Use Amount Share
Working capital, mainly project execution and performance bonds RM134.0 million 71.4%
Business expansion: hiring, new office space and training RM39.9 million 21.3%
IT system upgrades RM5.0 million 2.7%
Listing expenses RM8.7 million 4.6%
Total RM187.6 million 100%

Only the public issue money goes to the company. The RM81.2 million from the offer for sale goes to the eight existing shareholders who are selling part of their stakes.

How Has MyDCD Performed Financially?

For the financial year ended 30 June 2026, MyDCD’s revenue nearly doubled to about RM666 million and net profit rose almost 70% to RM66.8 million, according to The Edge Malaysia. Spread over the enlarged share capital of 1,794 million shares, that profit equals earnings of 3.72 sen per share, which puts the 56 sen IPO price at about 15 times historical earnings.

As at 30 September 2026 the company had an order book of RM1.32 billion, which it says gives revenue visibility up to 2032. Most of it is MEPF integration work, with a smaller part from maintenance contracts.

What Should You Check Before Applying?

  • Customer and location concentration: the business relies on data-centre projects in the Klang Valley, so a slowdown in data-centre building there would affect it directly.
  • Project execution and working capital: most of the proceeds go to working capital and performance bonds, which shows how much cash large projects tie up.
  • Valuation: compare the price-to-earnings of about 15 times with other listed construction and data-centre engineering companies.
  • ACE Market: the ACE Market is for growth companies; its shares can be more volatile and less liquid than Main Market shares.
  • The prospectus: read the risk factors, the dividend policy and the full financial statements in the prospectus before deciding.
